Kadrin River

The Kadrin River, which gave its name to the natural park, is a right tributary of the Katun River. It forms quite a large canyon. The river is not so extensive (90 km in all) and consists of alternating rapid cataracts and calmer river stretches. The river was unpatronized until 2003 because of underexploration of its bed, but now it’s included into a lot of tourist trails with rafting.
